I've been following the discussions about Cornelius Eiland's tragic death, and I can't stop thinking about the impact it must've had on those injured alongside him. It's so distressing to imagine the trauma and pain these individuals and their families are going through. Being seriously injured in such a violent event must be terrifying, and then to have the added stress of dealing with recovery, both physically and emotionally, is unimaginable. I hope the community is rallying to support them, providing whatever they need in terms of medical bills, counseling, and just emotional support. It's sad that in situations with multiple victims, the focus often stays on those who lost their lives, and the survivors' stories can get overshadowed. These individuals carry the weight of that night with them, and they'll need a lot of strength and help to start healing. If anyone knows of any efforts or fundraisers happening to assist them, please share. We should ensure their stories are heard and that they know they're not alone during this incredibly difficult time.
