I’ve been following the case of Shawniece Banks, and my heart goes out to her family and friends. The community must be going through so much right now. One aspect I can’t shake is the role of the neighbors in these situations. It makes me wonder if anyone heard or saw something that could have helped sooner or prevented this from happening altogether. It’s alarming how even when people live close by, these horrific acts can sometimes go unnoticed until it’s too late. Does anyone else wonder about the sense of community awareness when tragic events unfold in residential areas? It just seems like there’s a need for better ways for neighbors to look out for one another so they can feel safer in their own homes. My thoughts are with Shawniece’s loved ones as they navigate this difficult time.
