I just came across Officer Robert James Ingram's case, and I can't stop thinking about his family's unimaginable grief. He had only been married for a few months. His poor wife must have been absolutely devastated, having to navigate such a tragic loss while they were just starting their life together. It must be incredibly painful, especially knowing that he was out there serving and protecting the community he loved. The way the community has continued to honor his memory shows how much he meant to everyone, but the reminder of such a senseless and violent act surely makes it even harder for his loved ones. My heart goes out to his wife and family, and I hope they find some comfort in the support from their community.
