Having followed the tragic case of Andrew Copeland, I find myself struck by the courage of his family and community in their relentless pursuit of justice. Despite the many hurdles, their dedication to keeping Andrew's memory alive through vigils and memorials truly showcases the strength and resilience of those he left behind. It’s deeply saddening that, like many other cases in Baltimore, a young life is taken, and the investigation stalls due to systemic issues. I often wonder if there are more creative ways the community or local organizations could support initiatives that encourage witnesses to come forward. Perhaps creating a platform for anonymous tips might alleviate some of the reluctance and fear that many in the community feel. Continuing to share Andrew’s story and advocating for solutions could really make a difference, not just for his case, but for lessening violence overall. My heart goes out to Andrew's family and friends as they continue to fight for answers and change.
