It's so tragic to think about how a simple plan to sell some marijuana spiraled into such a devastating event. I can't imagine what Quenterious Griner’s family is going through. The fact that Tykima Lovick tried to warn Harper about the potential robbery shows how quickly the situation was escalating, despite attempts to prevent it. It seems like Harper was put in an impossible position—trying to protect himself and his friends—which, unfortunately, ended in such a senseless loss of life. Being caught up in such a dangerous world can have dire consequences, and my heart truly goes out to Griner's loved ones who are now left to pick up the pieces. It's hard to wrap my head around why anyone would let things reach such a boiling point, but it underscores the need for change and awareness in similar communities.
