I've been following the case of Gerald Daniels Jr., and it's just so gut-wrenching to think about what his family must be going through. What's been on my mind is the role community support can play in these situations. After such a tragic event, I wonder if the local community has pulled together to help the Daniels family with their loss. Beyond the legal justice they received, there’s something to be said about emotional support and healing that community solidarity can provide. It also makes me think about the young people in that area – are there enough programs or initiatives to guide them away from dangerous paths? Valerie Daniels, Gerald's aunt, mentioned in one of her interviews how Gerald had his whole life ahead of him. Let's hope this tragedy can spur some positive change in the local community to prevent similar occurrences. My thoughts are with the Daniels family.
