Has anyone else been unsettled by how many warning signs seem to go unnoticed until it’s too late? ? I’ve been following the Amber and Ethan Jackson case, and it's so disturbing to think that their lives could have been spared if there had been more awareness of potential red flags. I wonder if Amber had reached out to friends or family about any troubles with Joshua before this unspeakable tragedy. It's so sad because domestic violence often hides just beneath the surface, masked by moments of calm or apologies. I'm hoping that in discussing this case, more people may become aware of the signs and feel empowered to speak up or seek help when something doesn’t feel right. Sending love to their family and the entire Morganton community as they try to come to terms with this loss.
I still can't wrap my head around the tragedy that unfolded with Amber and little Ethan Jackson. My heart aches thinking about what they went through. As I've been reading up on this case, I keep thinking about how crucial it is for communities to have resources for domestic violence prevention and support. It's terrifying to consider the warning signs that might have been overlooked or dismissed. We often talk about what more could have been done, but I really hope this case opens up more conversations about providing help to those in need before things reach such a catastrophic point. Amber and Ethan deserved a life free from fear and violence. Let's keep pushing for change so that stories like theirs don't keep replaying. Thoughts are with their family and friends during such a difficult time. ?
