I can't stop thinking about the impact that National Night Out must have had on this case. It's so tragic how an event meant to bring people together for safety and community ended with such a devastating incident. The timing just adds another layer of sadness to an already painful situation. I can't imagine how Daniel, Whitney, and Lanisha's families must be feeling, losing their loved ones on a night that should have been about unity and protection. It’s like the community was hit twice, once by the loss of wonderful people and again by the overshadowing of an event meant to foster peace. How do neighborhoods recover from something like this when a symbol of hope becomes a reminder of such tragedy? My heart goes out to everyone involved.
