It's truly devastating to read about Curtis Cockrell and the others who lost their lives that spring. I can’t stop thinking about the surveillance images they released. It's eerie to know that David Lee was just walking around like everything was normal until he got caught. It just goes to show how someone can be hiding in plain sight. I wonder what led the tipster to connect the dots and call the police? It's reassuring to think that vigilant community members played a role in his arrest. I hope justice is served for Curtis, Timothy, Maxine, and everyone who cared about them. It's evident that more needs to be done to keep our homeless communities safe and ensure they have the protection and support they need.
