Did anyone else notice how Kareem Bennett's case was handled so swiftly with the involvement of the U.S. Marshals? It seems unusual to have such a robust response so quickly. Don't get me wrong, I'm relieved to see action being taken when a life is lost, and I really hope it brings some level of comfort to his family and friends. But it makes me wonder if there’s more to the relationship or history between Kareem and Ashamir Johnson that we haven’t heard about yet. The fact that the police didn’t think it was random suggests something deeper. Does anyone have thoughts on what connections they might have had or where this might lead in the legal proceedings? The toll gun violence is taking on communities like Frazier Homes is just devastating, and it feels like these incidents sometimes open more questions than they answer.
