I keep thinking about the location where Diamond Purvis and Sidney Bishop were found. It's shocking because that area has always been known as quiet and safe. For something this awful to happen right in our backyard is incredibly unsettling. It makes me worry about how violence can infiltrate places you'd least expect. My heart goes out to Diamond's family and friends—what a terrible loss to endure. I hope this tragedy makes more people pay attention to what’s going on in our community and inspires proactive steps to prevent future violence. Does anyone else feel like this should be a wake-up call for Macon?
