I've been thinking a lot about the details surrounding the day Kelly's life was taken, especially since it happened on her birthday. It's just so deeply unsettling. Celebrating life one moment and having it ripped away the next is such a painful reality to grasp. I can't even begin to imagine what type of person would do this to someone they supposedly loved. The fact that Jason Hall himself called a family member to inform them about the shooting is really strange to me. Did he think he could cover his tracks by involving the family? Or was it a moment of panic? Either way, it just adds another layer of confusion and sadness to this case. My heart goes out to her family and friends who had to get that call. It must have been absolutely devastating for them. Kelly deserved so much better, and I hope justice prevails.
