I've been following Diana Laura Aguirre's case closely, and one thing that's been weighing on my mind is the role of the investigators who brought her justice. Major kudos to Investigator Melissa Luke and the entire Tifton Police Department for their dedicated work. Their efforts, along with those of victim advocate Latricia Sumner, must have brought a small measure of peace to Diana's family, knowing that someone was there to support them every step of the way. It can’t be easy to navigate such a difficult case, but their commitment really made a difference. And for Diana’s family, friends, and her children, I hope they find strength in the fact that so many people worked tirelessly to ensure Diana's story was heard and justice was served. It's so important to recognize the people who fight for victims and work to bring closure in such tragic situations. Sending all my love to those who knew Diana.
