I've been following the developments in Christin Harris's case, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this difficult time. I wanted to bring attention to something that's been on my mind—how this gas station, despite its history of crime, remains open and seemingly unchanged in terms of security. It’s baffling that after multiple incidents, and now the tragic loss of a life, there haven't been more stringent measures implemented there.
I recently read about the petition to close the EXXON station or at least demand better security. It’s a step in the right direction, but it also makes me wonder why it often takes such devastating incidents for actions to be considered. Is it just me, or should businesses in high-crime areas be held accountable and pushed to prioritize the safety of their patrons and staff?
I’m hoping the voices of the community can bring about some real change—not just in memory of Christin, but to prevent other families from experiencing such loss. Would love to hear your thoughts on what more can be done to hold these establishments accountable.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Christin Sharif Harris, and I can't stop thinking about the lack of security at that EXXON gas station. It's just so upsetting that something so devastating could happen in a place where people go daily for mundane tasks. I've read that the area has been plagued with crime for a while, yet these businesses seem to do so little to protect their customers. It's just baffling.
Does anyone know if there are any updates on whether the gas station plans to increase security or even install better lighting or cameras? It seems like the least they could do after something so tragic. My heart truly goes out to Christin’s family and friends. I can’t begin to imagine the pain they’re going through. Making those spaces safer might not bring him back, but it’s a step towards preventing another family from enduring this kind of loss.
Have there been any community meetings or further actions besides the petition?
Sending support to all who knew Christin.
Hey everyone,
I was reading through the details of the tragic case involving Christin Sharif Harris, and there's one thing that I've been thinking a lot about. Why isn’t there better surveillance at that EXXON on Columbia Drive? It’s known for its crime issues, yet it seems like nothing has been done to properly monitor the area or at least deter potential criminals.
It’s just frustrating to think about how inadequate security measures could have contributed to such a horrible incident. It's not only unfair to Christin and his family but also to all the other folks who shop there. With advanced technology today, shouldn’t places with high crime rates be equipped with more comprehensive security systems? Cameras, better lighting, maybe even on-site security personnel?
I sincerely hope that Christin's case pushes for some real change. His family deserves justice, and the local community deserves to feel safe. If anyone knows more about what local officials or the company may do to improve safety, please share.
Sending strength and love to everyone grieving.
