I've been following the Devan Jackson case and find it absolutely devastating how such a young life with so much potential could be cut short. My heart really goes out to his family and friends who must be going through an unbelievable amount of pain right now. I came across some information about Devan being an active member of JROTC and dreaming of joining the Navy. It just breaks me knowing that he was focused on such a bright future serving his country. I keep thinking about how these senseless acts of violence affect not just one person, but ripple through the entire community. Devan wasn’t just a victim; he was a son, a friend, a classmate, and someone people looked up to. It's essential that we keep talking about this and put pressure on finding the truth. Justice for Devan isn't just about the arrest they've made—it's about seeing all those responsible held accountable. To everyone following this case, let’s continue supporting his family, whether it's through attending the vigils or just spreading word about Devan's story. We owe it to him to not forget.
