April took her wallet, pager, and apartment keys, leaving her belongings, $150 in cash, and a freshly baked cake behind, suggesting she intended to return. However, she has not been seen or heard from since.
At the time of her disappearance, April was set to testify in a statutory rape trial just two days later. While authorities have not confirmed a connection between her testimony and her disappearance, this remains a possible theory. Initially classified as a runaway, April’s case is now considered an endangered missing person due to the unclear circumstances surrounding her vanishing.
