I've been following De'ja McCrary's case closely, and one element that really stands out to me is the involvement of Aquala Barnes. It’s disturbing to think how someone could be complicit in setting up such a horrific trap. What was going through her mind, helping Colvin Lindsey with this? It's hard to fathom anyone participating in planning an incident this traumatic, especially since it affected an innocent child too. I truly feel for De'ja’s family and friends, having to see her life taken away so senselessly and knowing the difficulty of a young child living through that trauma. As much as this case is about seeking justice for De’ja, I hope it also serves as a wake-up call about the dangers of getting entangled in harmful dynamics and the ripple effects it can have. My thoughts are with her family and all those rallying around her child, who now faces a life shaped forever by this loss.
