Death by Force

Jamal Stewart, aged 18, was fatally shot on November 30, 2016, in northwest Baltimore. The incident occurred late at night, around 10:41 p.m., near the 3500 block of Fairview Avenue. Stewart was found with gunshot wounds to the head and torso, and despite emergency responders arriving at the scene, his injuries proved to be fatal. This shooting was part of a string of violent incidents in Baltimore that contributed to an increasingly alarming homicide rate for the year.
