Hey everyone, I've been following Dante Fletcher's case and wanted to talk about an aspect that hasn't been discussed much—the absence of surveillance cameras at the gas station where he was found. It’s baffling to think that in 2013, a 24-hour business wouldn't have some kind of surveillance, especially in a city like Baltimore where crime was a known issue. This lack of footage really makes it tough for law enforcement to gather necessary details that could help advance the case. I can't imagine the frustration and grief that Dante's family must feel, knowing there might have been clear footage of what happened that night. This should serve as a reminder to all business owners about the importance of having functional surveillance systems. It's heartbreaking that we're still having these conversations, but maybe highlighting these gaps can prevent similar tragedies in the future. Thoughts?
I just read about Dante Fletcher's case, and it's incredibly saddening to think about someone so young being taken away in such a violent manner. What really caught my eye was the fact that the location wasn't covered by any cameras. It's frustrating to see how many of these tragic cases could potentially have a breakthrough if only there were more surveillance or eyewitnesses willing to come forward. I wonder if this lack of surveillance was common in that part of Baltimore back then? My heart goes out to his family and friends who must still be hoping for justice after all these years. If anyone has updates about improvements in that area concerning safety or surveillance since then, it would be interesting to hear about. Maybe it could prevent such tragedies in the future.
