Has anyone else been following the case of Marqueyvius Dozier in Columbus, GA? I read that on the night of his tragic death, there was another teenager, a 14-year-old, who was critically injured. It's terrifying to think kids are caught up in such violence. It's clear that this neighborhood, and perhaps the wider community, needs more resources and intervention programs to prevent these tragedies from occurring. Has there been any talk about community initiatives or youth programs to address this pattern of violence? I really hope they find the ones responsible soon, not just for Marqueyvius and his family's sake, but also for the peace of everyone in the area. Thoughts and prayers go out to all affected; no one should have to experience such a tremendous loss.
