I recently stumbled upon Deputy Frank Dean Genovese's case, and I can't shake the feeling of deep respect for his service and sacrifice. It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that he was just 26, serving bravely on the SWAT team in such a tense situation. Being an Army veteran, you can tell he dedicated his life to protecting others, even in the face of unimaginable danger. His Medal of Honor is a testament to his courage, but it feels like such a small consolation for his family and those who knew him. It's very frustrating that justice seemed elusive with Tufaro's acquittal, especially hearing about his continued criminal behavior afterwards. My heart goes out to Frank's family and the community who had to endure such a tragic loss. If anyone knew him personally or has more insights into how the community remembers him, I'd love to hear about it. It's important that even after all these years, we continue to honor Deputy Genovese's memory and the ultimate price he paid.
