Does anyone here remember Lee Merlin Simonton from that devastating day in 1990 at the GMAC office in Jacksonville? I've been diving into old articles and trying to piece together more about him as a person, not just as a name on the list of victims. He was only 33. From what I could gather, Lee was known to be a hardworking and kind individual. It's terrifying to think that a regular day at work could end in such horror. My thoughts are with Lee’s family and friends, who must have lived with this loss every day since. How do we as a society ensure this doesn't keep happening? It seems so crucial to focus on the victims and their stories to honor their memory. If anyone knew Lee or has more information about him and his life, I’d appreciate anything you'd be willing to share.
