I've been following the story of little Taj Ayesh and keep thinking about the psychological impact on Nealy. I can't even imagine what it must be like to live with the weight of such an accident. We often discuss the procedural and legal aspects, but I think it’s just as crucial to remember that Nealy is living with unimaginable grief. Even though the court decided on probation, which some may see as lenient, I suspect nothing compares to the sentence she has imposed on herself. It's essential for us in the true crime community to offer some empathy toward her situation while still advocating for firearm safety. This case should be a reminder to all of us about the irreversible consequences of a moment’s mistake. My thoughts are with Nealy and Taj’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
