Has anyone else been thinking about the role of the accessory in Keith Lee Sterling's case? Assisting someone in evading the law and attempting to cover up a crime is serious, and I hope the 45-year sentence serves as a reminder that actions have consequences. But more than that, it’s a testament to the devastating ripple effect violent crime has on everyone involved. My heart goes out to Keith’s family, who’ve had to deal with not only the loss of their loved one but also the harrowing details of how it all unfolded. I hope they find some peace knowing justice was served, and that others will think twice before making similar choices.
