Did anyone else hear about how the shooting happened so close to a playground? It's just so chilling to think about. I mean, kids were probably playing there, completely unaware of the danger just a few steps away. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that such violence can erupt in places where families are trying to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. My heart goes out to Cedric Stancil's family, and also to Jamal Campbell's loved ones. No one should have to lose someone they care about in such a horrific way, especially in a community space that's supposed to be safe for everyone. It makes me wonder how many more areas in Baltimore might be at risk. We really need more support for these neighborhoods to stop this cycle of violence. If anyone has any updates from the community meetings or has seen any changes in that area since the shooting, I'd love to hear about it. Stay safe, everyone.
