I can’t stop thinking about the emotional weight Makeva’s grandmother, Gloria Harold, must still carry. The loss of her granddaughter, who was so full of life and potential, is unimaginable. Gloria not only had a hand in raising Makeva but also stood as a pillar for the family throughout the turmoil of the trial. It breaks my heart to think about the pain she must have felt watching the truth about her granddaughter’s murder unfold in court. No family should endure such betrayal and loss from someone they once considered family. Makeva’s children lost their mother, and Gloria, her granddaughter, but through it all, her strength and advocacy for justice have been remarkable. I hope she finds some peace knowing that Makeva’s story has touched so many and that justice was ultimately served. Sending my thoughts and prayers to Gloria and the rest of the family as they continue to navigate this tragedy.

I've been following Makeva Jenkins' case, and what strikes me the most is the aftermath for her children. Losing a mother in such a senseless act of violence is unfathomable, especially knowing their father orchestrated it. I can't imagine the confusion and pain they must feel, trying to process such betrayal while also grieving. It's moments like these that underscore the importance of supportive communities and counseling to help those kids navigate their new reality. They deserve so much love and normalcy after everything they've endured. My thoughts are often with them, hoping they find peace and healing over time.
