I came across a detail about Matthew Beagle’s case that really made me stop and think. I read that Matthew was a huge advocate for mental health awareness, which just makes the whole situation feel even more surreal. It’s so tragic that someone so young and passionate about helping others with mental health issues ended up being a victim of violence himself. His former classmates have shared stories online about how he always had a way of making people smile when they were having a tough day. I hope his message about supporting mental health continues to be spread far and wide in his memory. It’s comforting to see the community coming together to support one another through such a difficult time. My thoughts are with everyone who was affected by this terrible event.
