Hi everyone, I’ve been following Devontay Youmans’ case and just found myself reflecting on the vigil his father, Al Youmans, held in his memory. I can’t even begin to imagine the depth of loss and pain his family is going through. It’s striking how Devontay, even after his death, continues to inspire those who knew him, like his cousin Shacoby's son. Hearing about his positive impact on people’s lives makes it even more baffling why someone would do this to him. The fact that it happened right at an intersection, a public place, raises so many questions for me. Is it possible someone nearby saw something but hasn’t come forward yet? I genuinely hope that, in time, people who have information might be motivated by the family’s loss and Devontay’s memory to speak up. Jacksonville deserves to know what happened, and his family deserves justice. If anyone has any insights or leads, big or small, it could make a difference. Let’s continue supporting the Youmans family and keep this case in the spotlight. Justice may be delayed, but it shouldn’t be denied. Stay safe, everyone.
