Has anyone else been deeply puzzled by the fact that Blake Slaughter's glasses were never found? It's been bugging me because, as someone who also wears glasses, I can't imagine navigating the uneven, rugged terrain around Cottonwood Canyon without them! The fact that none of his personal items—or any sign of a struggle—were recovered just adds to the mystery. Was he without them the entire time? Did something happen nearer to his camp or on a random trail?
I know he was familiar with the area, but even seasoned outdoorsmen don't usually venture too far from the essentials. If anyone knows more about whether he wore contacts or had extra pairs in his camping gear, it might shed some light or eliminate that line of thinking. Sometimes, it’s the smallest details that can provide insight or jog someone’s memory!
Hey folks, has anyone else been diving deep into Blake Slaughter’s case? Something that keeps gnawing at me is why they never found any of Blake’s personal items in the area during their extensive search, especially if he walked off on his own. I mean, if he was just going for a quick walk, wouldn't he have left something behind at the campsite or dropped something along the way? In such a vast and rugged area like the national forest near Cottonwood Canyon, you'd think they’d at least stumble upon a clue, even a stray hat or glove, right? It’s like he vanished into thin air, and that’s been bugging me. Do you guys think there’s any possibility that a personal dispute or something led him completely away from the trail? Just throwing it out there for discussion!
