In the months leading up to the holiday season of 2008, Pamela Sue Morrison was navigating a period of immense difficulty. At 52 years old, she found herself without a permanent home in Richmond, Virginia. In an effort to improve her situation, Pamela enrolled in a homeless-to-work program, but for reasons that are not widely known, she did not complete it.
