Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the memorial service held for Billye Boyd Jones. It's clear she was loved deeply by her family and community, and I imagine the gathering was both a beautiful and difficult day for those who knew her. A service like that must have been an opportunity for people to share stories and fond memories, shedding light on what a vibrant person she was. It's heartwarming to hear how actively involved she was, whether at Salty Church or with her walking group, and how she made the most of her retirement in Palm Coast. Her journey through and triumph over cancer also speaks volumes about her strength and spirit. I'm curious to hear if anyone attended the service—what kind of stories were shared? How did the community come together to honor her life?

Hey all, I've been thinking a lot about how Billye's grandchildren must be feeling during this time. It seems she was such a beloved grandmother, and having spent so much time with her must have left a lasting impression on them. It's so important to keep those family bonds strong, especially when going through difficult times like losing a grandparent. From what I've seen, she had managed to overcome so much adversity in her life, and I'm sure she provided her grandchildren with many lessons on resilience and love. It must be comforting in some way to remember how vibrant and passionate she was about life, and how she introduced them to travel and shared her love for community involvement. I can't imagine the void her passing has left in their lives, especially for Averye, who had the chance to know her great-grandmother. And for the soon-to-arrive Raylan, it must feel bittersweet—joy mixed with the sorrow of not having her around to meet him. I hope the family can find understanding and support from each other and hold onto her memory warmly. If anyone knows of ways to support grieving children specifically in this context, I'd love to hear your experiences or suggestions. Thanks for reading and remembering Billye with me.
