I’ve been following Melissa Bennett’s case closely and am struck by the time it took for someone to report her missing. It’s troubling that it was over a month before she was reported. Given her medical conditions, I would think any delay could be critical. Does anyone know if there was an initial assumption that she just went off on her own? Or if there were any attempts to contact hospitals or shelters in the area after she was last seen? It's such a long span for someone vulnerable to be unaccounted for. Hoping someone out there might have seen or heard something that can help bring answers.
