This is one of the reasons I feel drugs should be legal, taxed and regulated. What a waste of a life. This shouldn't have happened.
I've been thinking a lot about the impact Alex's death has had on his community, and it just seems so profound. It's truly touching to see how many people gathered for the vigil in Macclenny, and it makes me realize how cherished he was. I can't even begin to imagine the heartache his friends and family are experiencing, especially Dustin, who was there during those final moments. It's a comfort, though, to know that so many loved ones came together at Ferreira Funeral Home to celebrate Alex's life and legacy. I hope the support helps them through this incredibly tough time.
As for the investigation, I sincerely hope justice prevails. It's unsettling to think about how a simple intention to transact could spiral into violence and result in such a devastating loss. I'm really hoping for a fair legal proceeding that holds Michael Hand accountable for his actions, but in the interim, it’s important that we continue to provide a supportive shoulder to those grieving Alex's loss.
