Hey everyone,
I've been following Ray Dukes' case closely, and something that really stood out to me was how much he meant to his community, especially the younger generation. As someone who was a standout athlete at Raines High and Edward Waters College, it seems like he must’ve been a significant role model for the kids in Jacksonville. I can only imagine the impact his tragic death had on all those young aspiring athletes who looked up to him.
Thinking about his daughters, it's apparent that he was a devoted father. I can't even fathom the void his loss has left in their lives. It’s devastating to see such potential and passion taken away so abruptly and violently. I'm wondering if there have been any community initiatives or memorials set up in his honor to carry on his legacy and remind the youth to keep striving for success despite the challenges they face.
If anyone has connections or information about how the community is responding in a positive way to remember Ray, I’d love to hear about it. Stay safe out there, everyone.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Ray Dukes’ kids and how they're coping after losing their dad. It’s just so tragic to think about those four little girls growing up without their father, who was clearly devoted to them. I read somewhere that he was deeply involved in their lives and seemed like he really tried to be a positive figure for them.
It's infuriating and sad that his life was taken from him and from them. I can't even imagine how confusing and painful this must be for his daughters, especially knowing that their father had already survived so much but still ended up losing his life to violence. It feels like violence is ripping families apart one after another. I hope the community can step up and offer support to his family, and maybe one day those girls can find some kind of peace.
