Has anyone else been following the heartbreaking case of Ellis Rountree Jr.? I can’t stop thinking about the witnesses who chased after David Lee Fogg Jr. after the shooting. It takes incredible bravery to follow someone who’s dangerous like that, especially after watching such a shocking act of violence. Their willingness to step up and help investigators later on was absolutely crucial. I hope they’re getting the support they need—both for their courage during the incident and for the trauma they must’ve experienced witnessing such a senseless tragedy. It's a stark reminder of how important community involvement is in bringing justice, but also how taxing it can be on those who find themselves caught up in these terrible events. Thoughts are with Ellis's family and friends.
