Jayda Woods-Johnson, a 13-year-old girl from Lynnwood, Washington, tragically lost her life on July 3, 2024, in a shooting incident at the Alderwood Mall. The incident occurred around 6:05 p.m. in the mall's food court when an altercation broke out between two groups of teenagers. During the confrontation, a teenage male pulled out a handgun and fired at least one shot, striking Jayda, who was an innocent bystander not involved in the conflict.
