Hi everyone, I've been mulling over the tragic case of Joann and Glenn Carter for a while now, and something that strikes me is the fact that Glenn was found holding the revolver in a rocking chair. It's such a disturbing image. I keep wondering if it holds any deeper meaning. Rocking chairs often have this connotation of calm and nostalgia—maybe he was trying to reflect on their life together or was in some form of denial about what he'd just done. I can't even begin to imagine how Lisa, their daughter, felt when she discovered them. Has anyone read about any studies or psychological insights into why some people commit such acts in specific places or positions? It just seems like such a strange setting for such a horrible act. Also, I hope their Labrador is doing okay. It’s horrifying to think of what that poor dog witnessed. I'm sure he/she brought a lot of comfort to Joann and Glenn in happier times. Wishing peace to their family and friends who are left grappling with this tragedy.
