David Lamont Hill, 45, was shot multiple times and died on the street on the evening of August 4, 2016, on the 1600 block of McCulloh Street in the Upton neighborhood of West Baltimore. Emergency responders found him with critical gunshot wounds and he succumbed at the scene.
Born in Baltimore on November 10, 1970, Hill—known to friends as Hue—was a father, worked in construction and at University Hospital, and is survived by his mother, daughter, sisters, a longtime girlfriend and other relatives and friends who remember him as loving. Baltimore City Police opened a homicide investigation but the case has become cold; no suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced.
Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland has offered a reward of up to $7,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. If anyone knew David or has information about what happened that night, please come forward.
