I came across some bits about Percy Harmon that made me stop and reflect. When I think about how he was critically injured during the Ship Ashore motel tragedy, I feel deeply for him and his family. Being 69, he should have been enjoying retirement with his wife, Barbara, maybe taking in the serene ocean views from that very balcony. Instead, it turned into a scene of horror. We often talk about victims in terms of just stats, but thinking about Percy—it reminds me that every victim had a life, a story, a purpose. I'm wondering if anyone knows more about him and Barbara, like what brought them to the motel and if they were local to the area. Maybe there’s more we can learn about their lives. If anyone has any information or thoughts, please share. They deserve to be remembered as more than just names in a tragic event. My heart goes out to the Harmon family, and I hope they've found support and healing over the years.
