Has anyone looked into whether Desiderio might have had any connections or acquaintances in Barstow that weren’t family-related? I find it interesting that there’s so much focus on the family disagreement, but what if there’s more to the story? People don’t just vanish without a trace unless there’s something else going on, perhaps linked to people outside the usual circle. I wonder if the investigators have considered this angle, or if they’ve reached out to people he might have been in contact with around that time. It just seems worth exploring every possibility since it’s been so long without any new leads. Thoughts?
