I’ve been thinking a lot about the first responders who had to walk into that unimaginable scene back in December 1986. It’s hard to fathom the impact it must have had on them, seeing the devastating aftermath of the massacre at the Mabrey home. The emotional toll would have been incredibly high, especially with such young victims like little Valencia Morgan involved. I can’t help but wonder about their well-being and whether they received the support they needed after witnessing such a horrific event. It’s easy to focus solely on the victims and their families, but let’s not forget those who had to confront the immediate aftermath and ensure justice was served. Does anyone know if there were any measures taken back then to support first responders in cases as traumatic as this?
