I can't stop thinking about the role of eyewitnesses in the case of Jason Bandel. It's such a heavy responsibility to bear, being called to recount something so traumatic. The courage it must have taken for those eyewitnesses to come forward and provide their testimony is truly commendable. They not only helped put Francisco Moreno behind bars but continued to seek justice even years later when new evidence on Lisa Sedillo came to light. It's a reminder of the vital role community members play in these investigations, even when it must have been terrifying. We owe a lot to those who step up in the face of fear and help ensure justice is served, even if it’s delayed. It's heartening to know their bravery contributed to resolving such a complex and challenging case. Thoughts with Jason’s family and all the other victims who have had to relive the ordeal through these proceedings.
