Hey everyone, I've been digging a bit into the Harper case from '93, and something that's really sticking with me is how close-knit the Borrego Springs community seems to have been. It's honestly so sad to think about how a couple well-respected in multiple communities could be taken away so violently and suddenly. I can't help but wonder about the impact on their family-run business and the ripple effect it likely had on everyone connected to them in Pacific Beach and beyond. Given Walter's background as an electrician and someone who ran a sign company, it's possible they crossed paths with so many people throughout the years. Has anyone come across any discussions about business-related motives or disputes? It just feels like they knew so many folks, maybe someone has some insight. It's been years, yet it seems there's still so much we don’t know. Just can't stop thinking about what their family must still be going through. Sending all my thoughts to them, hoping maybe more information comes to light one day. Stay safe, [Username]

I keep thinking about the Harpers and how much they meant to their community. I've read that they were really involved in local events and always willing to lend a hand, which makes the lack of progress in their case even more frustrating. They seemed like the kind of people who had a positive impact on everyone around them. I remember seeing a snippet from a news article about the memorial service in La Jolla where nearly 500 people came together. That just speaks volumes about how loved and respected they were. I can't help but wonder about the friend whose home they were visiting in Borrego Springs. It must be so difficult to process that something so tragic happened at their place. I hope they're getting the support they need to deal with such an unimaginable situation. It feels like there has to be more to the story, something that hasn't come to light yet. Let's keep pushing for justice for Carrlene and Walter. They deserve that, and their loved ones deserve answers.
