Tara Cossey, a 12-year-old girl from San Pablo, California, went missing on June 6, 1979. On that day, she left her home to walk to a nearby liquor store, Pirelli's, to buy a bag of sugar for her mother. She was last seen inside the Montalvin Shopping Center but never returned home. Tara was wearing cutoff Levi's jeans, a blue tank top, thong sandals, and had a red long-sleeved shirt tied around her waist.
