Has anyone else been following the details about the judge's critique of the initial investigation into the Alvarado family tragedy? It's deeply troubling to think about how institutional racism and indifference might have impacted the case. It's gut-wrenching to imagine how this might have delayed justice for Victor Alvarado and his family. I can't stop thinking about how many more cases might be similarly affected. The idea that assumptions and biases could interfere with justice for victims is so upsetting. It’s a stark reminder of how important it is for investigators to remain objective and thorough, regardless of the situation. I hope that Victor and his family are at peace now and that their story serves as a catalyst for change in investigative processes. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how we can push for more accountability and sensitivity in these investigations.
