Has anyone else been thinking about how traumatic the aftermath must have been for Rafael Calderon Jr.? I can't imagine the fear and desperation he felt jumping out of that window, knowing he had no other choice. Breaking his wrist probably didn't even register compared to the chaos around him. Even after escaping physically, the emotional scars for him, Lucia, and Rigoberto must be immense. It’s so important that they have the community's support and access to resources for healing. I hope they're surrounded by people who can help them through such a devastating experience. It’s a powerful reminder of why we should talk more about mental health and provide help to prevent such tragedies. Thinking of the family and sending them strength.

I've been following the tragic case of Ricardo Calderon and his family, and I can't stop thinking about young Rafael Calderon's harrowing escape. While it's so fortunate that he survived, I can't imagine the trauma and fear he must have felt jumping out of that second-story window. Breaking his wrist seems such a small price physically, but the emotional and psychological scars must be immense. It's a testament to his courage, but it's also a powerful reminder of how deeply these violent acts impact those who survive. My heart goes out to him and all the Calderon family members who are navigating life after such a senseless tragedy. I hope they're receiving the support and strength they need. Does anyone have updates on how the community has been supporting the surviving family members, or any news on resources for victims of violence they may have accessed?
