I've been following the case of Jonathan Villamizar and Alexander Alberto-Rossy Veleche, and my heart goes out to their families and friends. I can't imagine the pain they're experiencing, waiting for any kind of breakthrough in solving this case. It's really frustrating to see it still unsolved after all these years. I was particularly struck by the notion that something seemingly trivial could have sparked such a horrific incident. This really highlights the tragic unpredictability of violence and how it can shatter lives in an instant.
It's disturbing that the gunmen were able to flee so easily. With such a densely populated area, it's puzzling how there have been no significant witnesses or leads. I sincerely hope that anyone who was in the vicinity or who might know something—no matter how seemingly minor—finds the courage to come forward. Our community needs to come together and support the families in their quest for answers. Let's not let Jonathan and Alexander's memories be overshadowed by their tragic passing.
Was anyone else struck by the bravery of Jonathan and his friend Alexander in the face of such senseless violence? It's awful to think that a simple look or exchange of words could lead to such a tragedy. My heart goes out to their families, who are still dealing with this painful loss almost a decade later. The fact that no arrests have been made is beyond frustrating. I just hope that someone with a piece of the puzzle decides to come forward. It's crucial for the community to rally together and support the investigation however they can. Let’s keep Jonathan and Alexander’s stories alive and continue to push for justice on their behalf.
I was thinking a lot about the area around South Normandie Avenue and West 3rd Street lately. I still can't wrap my head around how a neighborhood corner—somewhere that Jonathan and Alexander probably walked by countless times—could become the scene of such a senseless tragedy. It's baffling to me that these gunmen just disappeared north on Normandie Avenue and no one seems to have seen anything. Koreatown is usually buzzing with people. How does something like this happen in broad daylight and nobody remembers a detail that could help solve it?
My heart goes out to Jonathan and Alexander's families. I can only imagine their frustration and the longing for answers. I keep hoping that someone out there is carrying a piece of information that could finally bring some sort of closure. Maybe somebody saw something that didn’t seem important at the time—every little bit could help. I know LAPD is struggling without clear evidence, but I truly hope for a day when this case is not just a haunting memory but something the community can look back on and say, "We found justice for them.” Let's keep the conversation going and remain vigilant so this doesn't just fade away.
