Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the location of this tragic incident and how busy that area usually is. Koreatown is bustling, especially on a weekday afternoon, so it’s hard to accept that there aren’t more witnesses out there who saw something. Given that the shooting happened around 2 p.m., there must have been a decent number of people around, perhaps waiting for a bus or on their lunch break.
If you were in the area or know someone who frequents that part of town, even the smallest piece of information could be vital. Sometimes we underestimate what we’ve seen or heard because it seems insignificant at the time. I truly hope that those who might have been around that day can take another moment to think it over and possibly come forward, even if it's to rule out certain theories.
Remember, the families and friends of Alexander and Jonathan are still without answers. It’s important to rally as a community to help bring some semblance of peace to those affected by this tragedy. Let’s work together to shine a light on what happened and support the LAPD's ongoing efforts.
Did anyone else see that the suspects were last spotted fleeing north on Normandie Avenue? I’ve been thinking about how that route is quite busy, even in the middle of the day. It's really surprising that no one caught more details or footage of them escaping. My thoughts are with Alexander and Jonathan’s families; hoping for some solid leads soon. It must be so difficult for their loved ones to get through each day without knowing who took these young men's lives. If you were around that area on January 20, 2014, even the smallest detail could be important. Let's keep the conversation going and help the detectives get the justice Alexander and Jonathan deserve.
Hi everyone,
I've been following the case of Alexander Alberto-Rossy Veleche and Jonathan Villamizar, and something that doesn't get talked about enough is the courage it takes for community members to come forward with information. I can't imagine the pain their families are going through, knowing the killers are still out there. It's crucial for those who might have witnessed anything to feel safe and supported when contacting authorities or using services like Crime Stoppers.
I've heard some folks are hesitant due to fears of retaliation or just not trusting the process, which is completely understandable. But maybe we can discuss ways to encourage a culture where community cooperation can thrive? Ensuring the community feels protected and confident could make a big difference. Any thoughts or ideas on how outreach efforts might improve?
Sending my deepest condolences to the loved ones of Alexander and Jonathan. Let’s hope the case sees movement soon.
