Just came across an interesting detail regarding the search for Arthur and Charlene Johnson after their hunting trip went awry. I noticed on the map that the area where their boat was found, around 5.5 miles from Dillingham boat harbor, can be pretty challenging to navigate, especially with changing tides and unpredictable weather patterns. This makes me wonder about the conditions at that time. Were there any reports from other boaters or locals about rough waters or unexpected weather changes around those days? It's odd that the debris was discovered only 0.5 miles out but the boat drifted further. Could this mean it capsized relatively close to shore and then drifted out with the tide? Would love to hear thoughts or if anyone has insight into local water patterns.
