I’ve been following Jose Figueroa’s case since it first hit the news, and it’s so upsetting that there haven't been any breakthroughs. One difficult aspect I keep thinking about is how the lack of cooperation from eyewitnesses can stall investigations like this one. It's understandable people might be scared or hesitant to get involved, but I wish there was more trust in the process or that people felt safer to come forward, even anonymously. Sometimes it seems like the fear of retaliation keeps vital information locked away, and that's just so unfair to Jose and his grieving family. Hopefully, as time goes on, someone who knows something will have a change of heart and help the authorities finally bring those responsible to justice.
